Police appeal to public to assist in locating deceased man’s family

John Harris died on the 27th October 2004 in Bournemouth in the United Kingdom.

The Dorset Police have asked the New Zealand Police for their assistance finding his next of kin to inform them of his death.

It is believed that Mr Harris may have lived in New Zealand with his wife, who gave birth to their son in New Zealand. Mr Harris returned to England after the marriage broke down. Mr Harris may have served in the Royal Navy during, or shortly after the Second World War.

Mr Harris is believed to be about 75-80 years old. He was found dead in undergrowth on the outskirts of Bournemouth. The death of Mr Harris is not being treated as suspicious, although no cause of death has yet been ascertained.
