Auckland City Police have been responding to an incident in Blockhouse Bay since shortly before 10am when a woman requested help from a member of the public saying she'd been threatened by a man known to her.
The woman is safe with Police near the Blockhouse Bay Recreational Reserve and Armed Offenders Squad officers have arrived at the area.
No further information is available at this stage.
