Home > Constable Peter William Murphy
While committing a burglary of a sports shop in Invercargill a gunman shot and killed Constable Murphy.
The offender was located about two and a half hours later with a stolen loaded .22 rifle and was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. In 1986 he was paroled.
