Shooting investigation continues

1 min read

Rodney CIB investigating the shooting early yesterday morning of a 31 year-old man have discovered two firearms on the Dairy Flat property where it’s believed he was shot.

Detective Sergeant Scott Beard said Police were yet to determine whether either of the firearms was used to inflict the man’s wound and that a search of the property would continue today.

"We’ve spoken to four people who we understand were at the Tender Rd property at or about the time of the shooting, but we have conflicting information about the events that unfolded there," he said.

"Obviously we’d like to speak to the victim to get his version of events and we hope that will be sometime in the next few days.

"We’ve also recovered a small amount of drugs from the property."

Mr Beard said the investigation team was satisfied they knew who transported the wounded man to hospital.
