One person has died at a crash in Ohingaiti, Rangitikei District this evening.
Emergency services were called to the crash on SH1, involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles, at around 6.25pm.
The motorcyclist has died at the scene while three people, who were travelling in the cars, have received moderated to serious injuries and have been taken to hospital in Whanganui and Palmerston North.
SH1 has re-opened following the crash however there are delays.
Inquiries by the Police Serious Crash Unit are ongoing to understand the circumstances surrounding the crash. To assist with the investigation Police ask for any witnesses to the crash to contact Whanganui Police on (06) 349 0600.
