Central Otago Police are currently investigating the death of a 61 year old man who died in a hunting incident last night.
Emergency Services were alerted to the incident shortly before midnight.
Police and Ambulance staff performed CPR on the man however he was unable to be revived.
The incident is believed to have occurred in an area of the Nevis Range near Duffers Saddle.
