Police can now release the name of the man who died following an incident involving an e-scooter in Auckland city last week.
He was Toben John Hunt, aged 23 of Auckland.
Our deepest sympathies are with Toben’s family at this very difficult time. They have asked us to release this message from them:
“We would like to make a firm request to allow us to mourn our son’s passing in private. We make this appeal for privacy also on behalf of those close to us, who wish to remember and celebrate his life in peace and quiet.”
This matter has been referred to the Coroner.
