Witnesses sought after robbery

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward to help identify those responsible for a liquor store robbery in Bader, Hamilton.

About 7.30pm on Sunday 16 December, two men entered the Thirsty Liquor store on Bader Street and attempted to steal several bottles of alcohol.

When the shop attendant tried to prevent them from taking the bottles, the men assaulted him.

The pair were last seen running along Bader Street towards Normandy Avenue.

Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information about those involved, is urged to get in touch with Constable Sam Pritchard at Hamilton Police on (07) 858 6200.

Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
