State Highway 50, Maraekākaho, is blocked following a single-vehicle crash.
Police were called to the crash near the intersection of Kereru Road around 1pm, where a car has hit a power pole.
While the driver appears uninjured, there are powerlines down blocking the road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
