When a worried Whangārei resident reported hearing someone on their roof at night, PST3 responded. As they checked outside they heard a scream inside. Constable James went in and found a ruru on the loose. It’s thought it got in after being the ‘person’ on the roof. James caught it and released it. That’s owl folks!
