Infringement Ticket Process

The police process of issuing infringement notices has changed. Now when stopped by an officer your driver and vehicle details will be verified by the officer through their Iphone. A conversation at the roadside with be held and if an infringement notice is to be issued the officer will advise you of this at this time. The infringement notice will not be handed to you it will be posted to the address that you have provided the next business day. Infringement fees are payable within 28 days from the issue of the original notice. Once this period has expired a reminder notice will be issued; giving you a further 28 days to finalise the matter with Police. If unpaid by the final due date; the matter will be transferred to the fines collection unit of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
