Police are advising motorists to exercise caution in the Takapuna area after reports diesel has been spilt on the road.

Emergency services are attending a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Stancombe Road and Carlos Drive, Flat Bush.

Police were called about 5pm.

South Road /  State Highway 45 near Hitona Road in Opunake is blocked following a single-vehicle crash.

The incident was reported to emergency services around 4.30pm.
