State Highway 1 is closed between Ōtaki and Waikanae after a petrol tanker fire this morning. 

Police were alerted to the incident around 5.10am.

Police are at the scene of a serious incident that has blocked Carroll Street, State Highway 3, in Te Kūiti tonight.

Titirangi Road has now reopened following an earlier crash.

Police would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding while the scene was cleared.
