The Police operation on Maungatapu Road, Tauranga, has concluded and the road is now open.  

A person of interest has been taken into custody and charges are being considered. 

Maungatapu Road is currently closed due to a Police operation. 

Staff are carrying out enquiries to locate a person of interest.

Traffic is being diverted following a serious crash on Rosebank Road in Avondale, Auckland.

The serious crash involved a car and cyclist.
