Police arrest and charge one man after Port Waikato brawl

Police have arrested and charged one man after the brawl in Port Waikato during the early hours of this morning.



O/C Investigation, Detective Senior Sergeant Neil Hallett, says several other people are still being interviewed and police anticipate further arrests will be made.



Police will maintain a presence in the Port Waikato town with the scene examination involving ESR scientists expected to take 3-4 days.



The post mortem examinations for the two deceased will take place tomorrow morning. They are Hiko Clark, aged 21 and Tahiwi Phillip Herangi, aged 17, both of Tuakau. A preliminary examination has found they both have stab wounds.
