1 min read

Auckland City Police have started a homicide inquiry after the discovery of a man’s body in a Freeman’s Bay house tonight.

Police were called to the house at about 5.20pm when a woman became worried about dogs barking inside her neighbour’s house in Hackett St.

When Police arrived the attending officers found the man’s body. Subsequent inquiries have determined that the man’s car was missing. It has since been recovered by Police in Bowen St in the City.

It will be examined for forensic clues as soon as possible.

A scene guard is in place around the Hackett St property and Police hope to be able to remove the deceased tonight. It is expected a post-mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
