1 min read

A 46 year old man is helping police with their inquiry of the murder of 45 year old Ordette Margaret Lloyd- Rangiuia last weekend.

Police ran an operation last night which included a large number of staff including AOS, and the police Eagle helicopter, down from Auckland.

They located the man in Spencer Park on the outskirts of Christchurch, first thing this morning, around 6.30am. Police were acting as a result of inquiries and on information received from the public.

"We are not seeking anyone one else in regard to the murder," says DSS Fitzgerald. "However I would still like anyone who saw Stephen King or Ordette Lloyd-Rangiuia out in the Sydenham area or Christchurch City last Saturday night, 31 January, to contact the inquiry team."

Detective Sergeant Fitzgerald says that staff have been processing a large quantity of information and the team has worked extremely hard.
