1 min read

Police have apprehended 27 year old, Zeke James Lowe. He’s in custody tonight after being sought for almost 3 months.

The apprehension comes after an incident in Greenlane at 11.15 this morning when armed police pulled over a car he was travelling in.

A police officer was run over by Lowe during the incident and was treated in hospital for a hairline leg fracture. He was released late this afternoon.

A police issue firearm was discharged twice during the apprehension.

An investigation into the incident is underway, as per police protocol, once a firearm is discharged.

No one was hurt when the firearm was discharged.

Lowe was sought by police for breaching parole, he is required to return to prison to serve the final 2 ½ years of his sentence.

Police would like to thank members of the public for their assistance over the last 3 months.
