1 min read

North Shore Police are looking for information or witnesses regarding a vehicle that rammed a patrol car in Browns Bay, at about 2:45am on Monday morning.

Officers patrolling the area to prevent crime such as burglary had stopped to investigate the suspicious behaviour of three people on Anzac Road when one of the trio took off in a vehicle. The vehicle was followed a short distance to Sators Road before stopping.

North Shore Operations Manager, Inspector Les Paterson says, "The driver of the vehicle then reversed and rammed the front of the police vehicle in what appeared to be an attempt to incapacitate the patrol car causing damage to the front of the car."

The offending driver then left in the car which Police say had false plates. Police are looking for a dark coloured station wagon similar to a Honda Accord in shape with a large dent in its rear bumper. The driver is described as a male Caucasian with blonde hair. One tail light on the vehicle is also brighter than the other.
