The driver of a stolen car involved in simultaneous police chases in Hamilton and Huntly yesterday has been charged with multiple offences.

The 26-year-old Auckland man will appear in the Hamilton District Court today charged with car theft, possessing cannabis, failing to stop, theft, dangerous driving and burglary.

Police allege the man was the driver of a stolen Subaru Forrester four-wheel-drive that was stolen recently from a Te Aroha car yard. It also had registration plates stolen from a car in Morrinsville.
