Missing woman found

1 min read

A woman missing since yesterday in the National Park area has been located safe and well.

Kanwalpreet Brar, aka Rinky Brar, a 30-year-old woman from Hamilton had been sightseeing in the area when she disappeared after a minor disagreement with friends, yesterday afternoon.

She had no access to her own transport, money or mobile phone and police concern grew when she failed to turn up either at home or at a family member's house in Palmerston North. Checks at the various accommodation options in the area also drew a blank.

Police now have contact with Rinky. It appears she did stay somewhere in the village overnight and officers will speak to her and reunite her with friends and family.
