1 min read

Porirua CIB wants sightings of a man in a white Toyota Hi-Ace van after an Aotea College schoolgirl was approached and inappropriate sexual remarks made to her.

Detective Dave Jones says the incident happened about 3.30 pm on Monday 15th August when the 14-year-old student was walking on Tweed Road, Papakowhai, between Papakowhai Road and Kinnel Grove.

"A man in a white Toyota Hi-ace van stopped beside her, repeatedly asked her to get in and made inappropriate sexual remarks."

The student refused and the van drove off.

The van is described as dirty or old with a tinted back window. The man is described as a pale skinned Maori, aged 19-20 years, slimly built with long dark hair.

Detective Jones would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or believes they know who the man is.
