A motor cross bike was stolen in a burglary last Tuesday 18 August 2009. It seems as though it was specifically targeted and the burglary was quite well planned and executed says Constable Jon Harris.

At 12:36 pm on Tuesday, 18 August 09, two male offenders broke into an alarmed garage at 397 Sawyers Arms Road and took the blue and white 2006 Yamaha YZF450 moto cross bike, valued at $7000.

With the alarm sounding they calmly pushed the bike down Sawyers Arms Road for a distance before pushing it through a line of trees and into a waiting van or ute hidden inside the property at 415 Sawyers Arms Road.

Two neighbours noticed the pair pushing the bike - but the burglars' vehicle was not seen.

The owner has posted a reward for its return on Trade Me.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Darren Folau at New Brighton Police.
