Mrs MUNENE is still in a serious but stable condition in an induced coma at Christchurch Hospital.
Detective Inspector Greg Williams says that the inquiry is currently working with Mr Maina's family to assist with arranging for a funeral director and liaison with agencies that can assist.
"The scene examinations continue at both addresses (Burrows Place and Patrick Street) today and an examination will be done of the red Peugot," he says.
Work also continues with Crown Law and Interpol in terms of exploring avenues within Kenya.
Detective Inspector Williams says he is very pleased with the response from a wide range of people who have come forward to supply information to the investigation.
