1 min read

Avondale Police executed a number of search warrants over the past few days and have arrested 11 people - including a 39 year-old woman - who are appearing in the Auckland District Court today.

They are all jointly charged with the following nine charges:

Wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
Injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
Injuring with intent to injure
6 x Assault with intent to injure

The charges relate to an incident at a party in Roseman Ave, Mt Roskill on September 18, where two people suffered serious injuries after they were allegedly attacked by members of a group.

One of the alleged victims lost 14 teeth, suffered a smashed palate and facial lacerations.

Officer in charge of the Operation Kent investigation, Detective Sergeant Glenn Baldwin, said investigations are continuing and more arrests are likely. Police will oppose bail for at least four of the accused.
