Henderson Police Find Missing Woman

Henderson Police have located the West Auckland woman missing for more than 24 hours.

Cynthia Mary FREEMAN, who is aged 57 years, went missing from her home in Glendene at about 5.00pm on Wednesday 1 February 2006. Police have been searching locally for her.

Mrs. Freeman was found alive by a member of the public, at about 0900 hours this morning.

She was located 50 metres down a bank in the Waikumete Cemetery.

When discovered she was in a dehydrated condition. An ambulance was called and she is now receiving medical attention. Police say Mrs. Freeman suffers from Bipolar disorder,

Mrs. Freeman had last called her daughter from her home in Glendene, at about 5.00pm, on Wednesday 1 February 2006, saying she was going for a walk.

She told her daughter in the telephone call, that she was going to walk down Great North Road, towards Palmers Garden Centre in Kelston.

Police wish to express their appreciation to all the Henderson community for their valuable assistance in the recent search for Mrs. Freeman.
