The North Shore CIB is investigating the alleged rape of a 14 year old girl at a local Burger King restaurant in Takapuna yesterday afternoon.
Officer in Charge of the inquiry, Detective Sergeant Kim Libby, says the incident happened at about 6.30pm yesterday, inside the male toilets sector of the popular takeaway restaurant.
"A team of detectives is today carrying out a scene examination at the Burger King locality, and the victim is also being interviewed," he said.
"We are questioning several 18-20 year old male youths. All persons allegedly involved in this incident, have been located by Police."
"Once our preliminary investigations have been completed, a decision will then be made on any appropriate charges," Detective Sergeant Libby said.
