Albany Industrial Fatality - Police Release Name

North Shore Police have released the name of the man who died as the result of injuries he received in an accident at an industrial location in Albany yesterday. He was:

Brendon Ronald THICKPENNY

Born 5/10/1969 - aged 36 years.

Occupation - Fitter and Turner

Lived with his wife at Riverhead,

North Shore Police received a call to a local engineering company at about 12.45 pm yesterday, and on arrival discovered a 36 year old man seriously injured as a result of an accident on site.

The man was rushed to Auckland Hospital but later died.

An autopsy is being carried out today and Department of Labour Health and Safety Officers are now investigating the cause of the accident.
