The incident happened around 7pm as the 16-year-old girl, was walking south on Guy Street Dannevirke in the vicinity of Hartgill Crescent.

The driver then sped off heading out of town on Guy Street to Ruahine Street and onto Umutaoroa Road and the outskirts of the northern Dannevirke urban area.
The two men have then bundled the girl out of the car and over a wire fence into a nearby paddock where she was sexually assaulted.

The police would like information from the public who may have seen this girl walking on Guy Street, and any sightings of the vehicle in question, both in Guy Street and Umutaoroa Road where it was parked on the grass verge opposite number 58 for some time.
