Diary Note: Invitation to Single Non-Emergency Number Function

Media are invited to attend a function on Monday afternoon at the Northern Police Communications Centre where Police will give information about plans to introduce a new non-emergency call taking service.

A demonstration of the non-emergency service involving Auckland City and Bay of Plenty police districts will be taking place from November 2006.

Police Minister Annette King will speak, along with members of the project team developing the new service.

A workstation has been set up to show how the service will work and to provide visuals for media.

When: 5.20pm for 5.30pm start, Monday 26 June
