Orewa CIB Make Another Clan-Lab Discovery

1 min read

A routine bail check by Police Officers at a Whangaparaoa residence has resulted in the discovery of a Clan-Lab manufacturing operation today.

Detectives from the Orewa CIB went to the house this afternoon to talk to the occupants of the property about matters relating to a Court appearance next week.

On arrival the detectives found four persons inside the house. All were actively engaged in the illegal production of methamphetamine.

The suspects immediately fled the scene. The Police Eagle helicopter plus a police dog and its handler were called in to assist in the search for the offenders, and after a brief pursuit on foot, two persons were arrested. Police investigations are continuing.

The male and female will be appearing in the North Shore District Court tomorrow on drug related charges, including the illegal possession of chemicals for methamphetamine production.
