Death of soldier not thought to be suspicious

Palmerston North Police are investigating the sudden death of a 20-year-old soldier based at Linton Army Camp.

Ethan Roy George Hall was located in an enclosed alleyway in the central city at about 12.15pm yesterday (Wednesday, 27 October) by a tradesman working on the roof of a nearby building.

The last confirmed sighting of Mr Hall was in the vicinity of Main Street West and The Square at about midnight on Friday, 22 October 2010.

A post mortem will be performed to establish the cause of his death but it is believed he fell to his death from a nearby building.

The Palmerston North Police are working in conjunction with Military personnel to try and establish his last movements. Police would like to speak to anyone who was with Mr Hall that evening.

Mr Hall's death is not thought to be suspicious.
