Police look for silver vehicle following robbery

1 min read

Police investigating an aggravated robbery in Palmerston North have now located a woman they were seeking as a witness, and as a result Police now have an amended description of the offender's vehicle.

Police were originally of the belief that the offender from the aggravated robbery of the Seddon Street Food Market got into a reddy-brown hatchback in Manchester Street.

Police now understand that he got into the passenger seat of a silver vehicle that the witness believes was a Subaru. The female witness then followed the offender's vehicle down Aberdeen Avenue, into Wood Street and then into Featherston Street where she lost sight of it.

No other detail about the vehicle is known at this stage.

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw the offender, the vehicle or the driver of the vehicle.

The offender is described as a European man of medium build wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Gary Milligan at Palmerston North Police on 06 351 0600. Alternatively information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
