People who have lodged tax returns with Intrepid Taxation Consultants are urged to contact Lower Hutt CIB to arrange for the return of their documents.
Detective Sergeant Mike Sears, Lower Hutt CIB, said police are investigating the consultancy for alleged fraud. The consultancy, which had offices in Lower Hutt, Carterton and Auckland has suddenly closed its local operations.
"We are holding a large amount of documentation that we'd like to see returned to clients," Detective Sergeant Sears said.
