1 min read

One month to the day after the vicious intruder sexual violation of a 32 year-old Asian woman in her Spring St, Onehunga home, the man accused of her attack and other offences pleaded guilty in the Auckland District Court today.

Dean Te Otinga Martin was arrested by the Auckland City District Adult Sexual Assault Team a week after the attack and was charged with:

Three counts of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection

Indecent assault

Aggravated burglary

Aggravated wounding

Unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.

He will be sentenced at the Auckland District Court on October 27, 2006.

Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Beard said the early guilty plea was very welcome news to the investigating officers and the attack victim and reflected the professionalism and dedication of those who worked on the inquiry.
