Witnesses sought for crash

1 min read

Wellington Police are appealing for witnesses to a non injury crash on The Esplanade, Island Bay, yesterday afternoon.

Constable Brendon Ronald, Wellington Central Police Strategic Traffic Unit, said the crash happened about 1.40pm, as the white 1989 Mazda Familia three door hatch was travelling east from Island Bay along The Esplanade.

"We're not too sure what happened but the Mazda collided with a small tractor and a shuttle van that were both parked on the left hand side of the road," Constable Ronald said.

No-one was on the tractor or in the van at the time but all three vehicles were damaged. The driver of the Mazda was uninjured.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Constable Ronald or Senior Sergeant Richard Hocken, Wellington Police, on telephone 381 2000.
