Man charged with murder of Scott Guy

Police investigating the murder of Scott Guy have made an arrest. A 30-year-old Feilding man will appear at Palmerston North District Court tomorrow afternoon (Friday, 8 April) charged with the murder of Scott Guy.

Scott Grahame Guy was shot and killed in his driveway in the early hours of the 8th July 2010.

Earlier today the investigation team arrested the man at an address in Feilding and have charged him with murder. He has also been charged with arson and criminal damage relating to incidents at Scott's property in October 2008 and January 2009.

A second man, aged 21 years, also from Feilding, has been charged and appeared in an Otago District Court in relation to the arson and the criminal damage, earlier today. He has not been charged in relation to the murder.

No one else is being sought for the murder or related offences at this time.

Scott's family have been advised of the arrests.

Neither the Guy family or Scott's wife Kylee wish to make any comment at this stage and have expressed a wish for some privacy to come to terms with this significant news.

As the case is now before the court there will be no further Police comment.
