Nelson Police have arrested a man following a stabbing in Richmond in the early hours of Sunday morning. Detective Pat Nally said Police has spoken with the three people they believed were present during the attack and have subsequently charged a 28 year-old Richmond man with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The man has been bailed to appear in the Nelson District Court on Wednesday 27 April. Detective Nally said Police were not looking for anyone else in relation to the attack. “I’d like to thank the public for coming forward so quickly and also the business owners who have taken time away from their families on a public holiday to make video footage available to us.” ends
