Police release description of Dargaville armed robbery offenders

Police have released the description of the two offenders who robbed a jewellery shop in Dargaville this morning.

The two men entered Distinction Jewellers about 9.30am.
One is described as possibly dark skinned, 1.75 to 1.8m tall, wearing dark clothing with a scarf or something similar covering his face.
The other offender is described as Caucasian, 1.7 m tall, also wearing dark clothing and had something covering his face.

The offenders allegedly presented a firearm at the sole female staff member and asked to her to hand over some cash from the till. They also took some jewellery.
The female staff member was shaken, but unhurt.

Police are appealing to members of the public to be on the look out for a
2001 black Subaru Legacy vehicle, registration number EZQ703. If sighted Police advise people not to approach the vehicle, but report it immediately to Dargaville Police on 09 439 3400 or call 111.

Dargaville Police are also seeking information on a blackSubaru Forester, registration number DQR503, which was stolen from the town last night.
