Suspicious Fire - Investigation Continues

1 min read

Police investigating the circumstances of a suspicious fire in the Henderson CBD yesterday are still at the scene continuing their forensic examination.

Police went to a Henderson CBD dental practise at about 12.45pm yesterday after the body of a female was discovered inside the first floor premises.

Two males who were also in the building at the time the fire started suffered burns and severe smoke inhalation. They were taken to Waitakere Hospital.

Both have since been discharged. They're now assisting Police with enquiries.

Family, witnesses and associates of both the deceased and the two injured men are also being interviewed by a team of investigators.

The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been released.

A post-mortem examination is being carried out this morning.

Police say they will make further comment later today.
