Bikes clue to firearms burglary

1 min read

The Hornby Police are investigating a burglary overnight on Monday 9 April 2007 to a barn on a lifestyle block in Selwyn. Stolen in the burglary were a number of firearms and two motorcycles. The motorcycles are a green Kawasaki KLX110 and a Thumpstar 110cc, (similar to the photo attached.)

The firearms were stolen by forcing open the gun safe. The burglary to the barn was committed while the owners where asleep in the house adjacent to the barn.

Police are concerned that the firearms are now hidden within the criminal fraternity, but the motorcycles may be more noticeable.

Any information regarding the burglary or the location of the stolen property can be forwarded to Detective Sergeant Scott ANDERSON of the Hornby Police phone 3440696.
