Whakatane Man Missing for Two Months

1 min read

Police are asking for the public's help to trace the whereabouts of Whakatane man Gavin Lance FERGUSON who has been missing for two months.

Mr Ferguson was reported missing by his family on the 10th of March 2007.

Detective Sergeant Ross Everest of Whakatane Police says police have concerned about his welfare.

"Enquiries put the last sighting of him in the Gisborne area around the 27th of March."

"He is possibly in the company of an overseas woman and travelling in a brightly painted campervan," Mr Everest said

He is described as a 42 year old male caucasian, 5'7" tall, slight to medium build, clean shaven with shaven head. When last seen he was thought to have his bright pink wave ski with him. His 1985 brown Mitsubishi flat deck L200 utility, registration LW1831, is believed to still be in the Gisborne area.

Detective Everest says it is unusual for Mr Ferguson not to have been in contact with his family who are very concerned about his whereabouts.

"We would like to hear from anyone who has seen a man fitting this description, or his vehicle."

Please call the Gisborne Police on (06) 869 0200 or Whakatane Police on (07) 308 5255

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
