1 min read

Police will make a decision later today on when to suspend the search for swimmer Albert Alapati missing off Titahi Bay since 4pm on Saturday.

The Police National Dive Squad with support from Wellington Police Maritime Unit has nearly completed the last remaining areas to be cleared at the northern end of Titahi Bay beach.

A further shoreline search north and south of Titahi Bay is being made by Surf Life Saving New Zealand and the Department of Conservation Ranger on Mana Island.

A decision on suspending the search pending further information will be made by Kapiti Mana Area Police once these checks have been completed.
