Police are talking with approximately thirty party goers who were at the party at a Keyes Road, New Brighton, property this morning, where a man was assaulted.
A 26 year old male was assaulted at the party and received head injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment at Christchurch Hospital however there is no current update on his condition.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tom Fitzgerald says that the road remains closed until further notice, probably later this afternoon.
