Inactive P Lab discovered

1 min read

The Christchurch Drug Squad located an inactive P Lab this morning when they went to a property in Hutcheson Street to serve a warrant around 10.30 am.

A 36 year old male and 34 year old female, husband and wife, appeared in court this afternoon along with a 29 year old male, charged with possession of precursors and equipment for the manufacture of drugs.

The people at the house were decontaminated by Fire Service. Detective Senior Sergeant David Long says that inquiries are continuing and further charges may follow after a more extensive examination of the equipment.

The National Clan Lab team will assist Christchurch Police.

This is the 11th P lab dicovered in Canterbury this year to date compared to three at the same time last year.
