Warning to back packers

Kaikoura Police have issued a warning to backpackers and hostels after the theft of credit cards.

A male person identified as Tony Gorrie has been identified as committing the theft of two credit cars at Kaikoura this morning, taken at a Backpackers and used in Cheviot and Kaiapoi today.

Sergeant Ramon Smith, Kaikoura Police, says he is believed to be heading south.

He is described as a tall solid Caucasian male with a shaven ahead. He has a distinctive tattoo of three skulls on the op of his chest and lower neck. He also has a scorpion tattoo on the right side of his neck.
