Hutt Valley Police are seeking information relating to the aggravated robbery of a dairy in Petone on Tuesday 19 February 2013.

A male disguised with a black bandana across his face entered the dairy with a pistol and demanded cash from the lone female shop assistant.

The shop assistant has removed the cash from the till and run with the money into a back room where she has fetched a cricket bat. The offender has then run from the dairy.

The male was wearing a light grey hoodie and black pants. He had a dark coloured backpack with a red design on the front.

Detective Sergeant Christiaan Barnard of the Hutt Valley CIB said, "Police want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity on Hutt Road or Richmond Street around 2.30pm on Tuesday."

Anyone with information should contact the Hutt Valley Police on (04) 560 2600.
