Missing Canadian backpacker

Police are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen this man in the past few weeks.

Pearce Martin is a 20 year old man from Canada who is missing in New Zealand.
He has been backpacking around New Zealand, camping and staying in hostels.

His last known whereabouts was Waitangi between February 3rd and 8th when he attended Waitangi festival celebrations. Up until that time he had been in regular contact with friends and family through facebook and emails. He has not made contact since February 8th.

Senior sergeant Linda Simpson, manager of the Missing Persons Unit at Police National Headquarters said there is no clue as to where Mr Martin travelled to after Waitangi and his lack of contact with family is of concern.
