1 min read

As the name of a woman killed in a crash in the Coromandel on Saturday night is released Waikato Police advise they will return to the scene of the crash tomorrow morning to complete their examinations and motorists should expect delays.

Police have identified the driver of the BMW car that collided with a Ford Territory on SH26 at Puriri as 25-year-old Hawkes Bay woman, Hannah Louise Eaton.

Officers worked with colleagues in Interpol to contact Mrs Eaton's next of kin following the crash that happened about 9.20pm on Saturday.

Conscious of heavy holiday traffic, Serious Crash Unit investigators closed the road for a short period to carry out initial crash analysis but will need to return to the scene tomorrow morning about 10am.

Traffic management staff will be in place as traffic will be cut to one lane and motorists who can't avoid travelling that stretch of road are advised to expect delays.

The official Easter Holiday period finishes at 06.00hrs tomorrow morning.
