Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash involving a motorcyclist and a car near Pauatahanui, Porirua, on Saturday afternoon.
Andre Victor Jacobs, aged 18, of Kilbirnie, died in Wellington Hospital on Saturday night from injuries received in the crash which happened at 3.45pm on Gray's Road, Pauatahanui.
Sergeant Ron Walker, Kapiti Mana Police strategic traffic unit, said the accident happened near a bend between Pauatahanui and Motukaraka Point. The car driver was uninjured.
"The cause of the crash is being investigated," Sergeant Walker says. "We've spoken to some witnesses but would like to hear from others who may be able to help."
